1.0 Standard Warranty

Laptop Screens Australia provides a standard 6 month warranty from all screens purchased from date of invoice. Items that do not fall under the standard warranty period will be indicated on the website respectively.

1.1 Expiration of Standard Warranty
The standard warranty expiration is on the 183rd day from date of purchase/invoice of the related screen.

1.2 Defective Screens.
Please refer to the Definitions section of this page to clarify what falls under the defective screen policy. Defects covered under the standard warranty cover the following screen related issues. dead on arrival, dead pixels, display failure, cosmetic defects and backlight failure that have been not been the cause of mishandling either by the courier service or screen receiver. If the screen has been identified to be damaged from the computer, laptop or any electrical device - this is not covered by our standard screen warranty or any respective warranty. Dead on arrival and any cosmetic damage must be notified to us within 48 hours of purchasing the laptop screen. Buyer mishandling is not covered. All claims should be raised through our support centre by clicking here.

2.0 Extended Warranty
Laptop Screens Australia has an extra warranty period offered at an indicated cost of the relevant screen listing. The cost varies from each screen and is not consistent throughout the site. If for any reason the extra warranty period does change or the price does change, the buyer will be notified prior to shipment of the laptop LCD screen. The buyer has the option to cancel the extra warranty and request a full refund prior to shipment. The additional warranty begins from the 183rd day of the standard warranty.

2.1 Defects covered
The defects covered include all defects outlined in the standard warranty.   For Cosmetic and Dead On Arrival related defects, Laptop Screens Australia is to be notified within 48 hours of signing for the notebook LCD screen.

 

3.0 Wholesale Warranty
All wholesale or trade accounts fall under the Wholesale Warranty.  The full coverage under the wholesale warranty is for a total of 90 days from date of invoice.

4.0 Warranty Claim

4.1 Claim Notification
To file a claim against the standard, extended and wholesale warranty the buyer must do so through the Support and Resolutions centre located in this link.  This should only be done so within the time of coverage. Before returning the related item the purchaser must receive direct instructions on where to return the item and Ticket number relating to the return.  Purchasers returning any items must affix the ticket number or return number in writing in the packaging.  Any related warranty stickers &/or numbers affixed to the LCD screen must be clearly legible or visible.  Failure to do so can void the warranty. Items covered by the damage protection plan and extended warranty must be returned with the screen still installed within the laptop for investigation on the issue. Obtaining a ticket or return number for the related screen does not mean that the warranty will be fulfilled.   Upon receiving the ticket or return number the buyer must return the LCD within 7 business days from ticket date. Failure to do so voids warranty. Should a defect be deemed to fall under the Standard, Extended or Trade Warranty, Laptop Screens Australia in its sole discretion may repair or swap (exchange) the product with an identical or compatible laptop LCD screen.  If a screen repair or exchange is not possible, a refund will generally be the final option. If a product has been exchanged the original warranty and protection plan that the related invoice was carrying is to still stand from its original date to the expiry date. If the purchaser has returned the product for reviewal and a technician or staff member of Laptop Screens Australia deems that it does not fall under the warranty, protection plan or any extended warranty  - the purchaser is required to pay the return postage and pay a 25% restocking/technical administration fee.   Returns past any protection plan or expiry date will only be returned at the company discretion.

4.2 Incorrect Screen Received
If the buyer has received the incorrect or incompatible product – the purchaser has 7 days from date of order to arrange a Return Authorisation over the phone or through our support and resolution centre.   The buyer is to return the original screen intact without any scratches.  Failure to do so can incur a $40 fee.

4.3 Returning non defective merchandise
If the buyer wishes to return an item that does not fall under the Warranty or Protection plan they may do so at the discretion of the company.  The buyer must request a return number through our support and resolutions centre and will be instructed when and where to send the related product. A 25% restocking fee will be incurred and any returns 30 days past the purchase date will not be accepted.

4.4 Screen Markings
Any stickers, company warranty stickers or screen serial number removed or numbers that do not match the original merchandise sent is void.

4.5 Return Transport of Product Purchased
Any returns sent by the buyer whether under warranty, protection plan or non-defective merchandise that is damaged during transit will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

4.6 Approval or Warranty & Non Defective Returns

Laptop Screens Australia’s judgement will be final in all decisions with replacement screens in regards to Standard Warranty, Extended Warranty & Protection Plans.

5.0 Risk of Loss
Up until the buyer has signed for the item (transfer point) the company is responsible for any damage or loss of goods. This is only when the buyer is using the companies courier of selection. If the buyer decides to use their own transport method, the transfer point of title is when the elected courier or transport company picks up the goods from the company.
5.1 Transit Damage or Missing Shipment
In the event of damage to the laptop LCD screen(s) or even loss during transit prior to the transfer point, the buyer is requested to notify the seller to raise an investigation through our Support and Resource Centre where a job order/ticket will be raised. The buyer must allow up to 7 days for a final decision to be made on whether solution will be selected. Generally the process is a replacement screen or compatible equivalent to be sent to the buyer. The company has the right for whatever reason to cancel the order and offer a refund to the purchaser in the event of Transit damage or a Lost/Missing shipment.
5.2 Dispatch/Transit Delay
The company will try to dispatch any goods ordered as soon as they can however do not guarantee any timeframes for orders to be dispatched. If for any reason there is a delay in dispatch the company will notify the buyer who will have the option to cancel the screen order and request a refund.
For any delays with items that has been dispatched by the company the buyer can request a tracking number and contact the relevant shipping/transport company. The company does not take any responsibility of transit delays while the item is with the transport company.


6.0 Laptop Screen Installation
6.1 Tutorials & Instructions
All tutorials and Instructions & LCD guides located on this site are a reference for qualified electrical technicians as a reference and guide only.
6.2 Laptop Screen Installation
Should the purchaser choose to have Laptop Screens Australia perform installation of a item the company is not responsible for any loss or damage prior to receiving the laptop screen and damage after the customer receives the notebook. The receive point will be when the customer signs for the laptop.
If loss or damage occurs while the company receives the laptop and prior to the customer receiving the notebook, the company will be liable to pay fair market value or fix the related situation by repair. The company is not responsible for any software, data or file loss.

7.0 Pricing
7.1 Price Availability
Prices listed on the website that are standard, trade and wholesale prices are subject to change at any time without notice. In the even the customer has made an order through the website where the price has changed, the customer will be notified and has the option to cancel the order and receive a full refund. Laptop Screens Australia reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason and refund the customer the full amount of the related order.
7.2 GST & Tax
Listed prices on the website are inclusive of GST and exclusive of postage charges
7.3 Price Quotes
Price quotes over the phone or through e-mail are valid for 48 hours from date of quotation. For any reason the company or provider of the quote has the right to cancel and void any quoted item and/or price


8.0 Postal Charges
8.1 Costs
Charges will vary from different couriers and postal companies selected by Laptop Screens Australia and can change at any time. These charges will differ from location of purchasers and special transport requirements.
8.2 COD
COD (Cash On Delivery) charges will be paid by the customer and vary from postage location. To attain rates for COD the customer is required to check with Australia Post and through the seller to see the dimensions, weight and destination the item is being sent from.
Under certain circumstances the company will not be able to offer a COD service to certain locations.


9.0 Credit Card Transactions
9.3 Charge
If a credit card purchase has been made the charge will reflect on the customers statement as ‘GlobalGeeks IT’.
9.2 Credit Card Fraud
The company reserves the right to hold orders made by credit card for manual review by ourselves or our merchant service (the bank). If required – a representative may call to verify details of the order. If for any reason we cannot contact you within, the company reserves the right to cancel and refund the order amount. Any type of manual review can delay the order.

10. Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws and state of Queensland, Australia

11. Quality & Condition of Screens

There are several qualities we grade for all our screens purchase. Listed Below are the following

Brand New - Unopened / unused / never installed into a system

New - Unopened / unused / never installed into a system

Grade A - Never used - installed into a system - only slight cosmetic markings - no markings on the LCD Digizer / Screen. Parts occasionally replaced for longevity.

Grade B - Used - can contain light markings on screen - no cosmetic markings on the digitizer / Screen

Grade C - Used - can contain light markings on screen - cosmetic markings on the digitizer / Screen
